Built on an Unexpected Connection
WILDx Connect exists because of a connection neither of us could have predicted.
Years ago, Jules was running an Unconventional Life event for 120 entrepreneurs in Bali and needed a gold dress for a theme night. A mutual friend said, "I know an eleven-year-old couture designer who has a gold dress. She lives just down the road through the rice fields."
Naturally, Jules laughed. Then she pulled up the young designer's Instagram and was blown away. The next day, Jules met the Swan family and invited her to showcase her designs at her very first fashion show. That weekend, the eleven-year-old received a $30 million offer from a Shark Tank investor and turned it down because it didn't align with her values around fast fashion.
What started as a search for a gold dress turned into one of the most meaningful friendships in Jules's life. Years later, while reconnecting after a road trip to a Grateful Dead concert, Rhonda and Jules found themselves dreaming about a bigger question: What if we could intentionally create the kinds of connections that change the course of people's lives?
